Young Farmers and Ranchers Service Project
North Carolina Farm Bureau's young farmers and ranchers want to make sure children know where the food comes from, and YF&R Committee members are taking that message to a number of elementary schools around the state. Young farmers are reading agriculture-related stories to the eager students, and in some cases the children are getting hands-on opportunities to learn up-close-and-personal about the growing process. Some of the young farmers are also working directly with the elementary schools on landscaping.
