The county program was judged to be North Carolina Farm Bureau’s (NCFB) most effective in promoting young farmer activities and goals throughout the past year. Cleveland Co. Farm Bureau's YF&R Program was involved in humanitarian and educational initiatives and activities during 2007, including the following events: hosting a farm safety event for county high school FFA members, increased legislative and issues management activity, farm visits, and social fabric development for young farm families.

The purpose of the County YF&R Committee Award is to encourage involvement, promote activities, and raise the visibility of Farm Bureau at the county level. It provides an opportunity for these committees to create a more positive image of agriculture in the community.
