R. Flake Shaw Scholarship

Since 1965, the North Carolina Farm Bureau has provided over $500,000 in scholarship money to students across North Carolina through its scholarship program.

Through the years, recipients of the scholarship have gone on to become outstanding leaders in the field of agriculture. The scholarships represent Farm Bureau's investment in the future of agriculture.

Students interested in the scholarship program should obtain an application from their county Farm Bureau office in January. County Farm Bureaus conduct an initial screening, submitting one application per county to the North Carolina Farm Bureau, which awards six scholarships each year. The nomination from each county must be signed by the county Farm Bureau president.
